TOUGH GUY INC - #1 CONTENDERS TO TOP ROPE PRO TAG TEAM TITLES
Friday night in Fall River, MA, Tough Guy Inc of “Brutal” Bob Evans and “Tough” Tim Hughes became the #1 contenders to the Top Rope Pro Tag Team Championship.
Back on May 24 at It’s Almost Summer Showdown in the Fall River PAL, Evans and Hughes lost a controversial match to Top Rope Pro Tag Team Champions Koosh and Chacha (Koosh Bandicoot & Erik Chacha).
Then, on July 5, Koosh and Chacha survived a triple-threat match against Tough Guy Inc and the Uncut Gems of Luis Leon & Nick Diamond, two upstarts out of the thriving New England wrestling scene, to retain their championships, again under controversial circumstances.
The Uncut Gems and Tough Guy Inc wanted revenge against the unorthodox titleholders, so Top Rope Pro management put together a #1 Contenders match for Battle At The Band Hall 2 inside the Our Lady of Light Band Hall in Fall River on Friday, August 30.
Tough Guy Inc and their vast experience as a duo overcame a game Leon and Diamond to get themselves one final opportunity at the Top Rope Pro Tag Team Titles.
“We want those beautiful Top Rope Pro Tag Titles,” stated Tim Hughes moments after the victory. “The Uncut Gems were a true challenge, and they will be future Tag Team Champions, but in the present, it’s our time. Koosh and Chacha, you’ve cheated to beat us before, but next time around, I promise that Bob and myself will make sure you will be humbled. The Top Rope Pro Tag Team Titles are coming home to Tough Guy Inc!”
Koosh and Chacha have been champions since October 13, 2023. Will their luck continue towards one calendar year as the Kings of the Top Rope Tag Team Division?
