The FBI and Philly's Finest Looks To Advance in MPW Gold Rush

For the Full Blooded Italians and South Philly’s Finest, it’s to become the first ever Matt Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions.
On February 2, 2025 at the Estonian House in Lakewood, NJ, MPW will be starting its expedition to crown its first champions in both the singles and tag team divisions with its Groundhog Day Gold Rush event.
The first match announced for the event is a Tag Team Title tournament match between “the Gent” Jimmy Konway & “the Line” Luca Brazzi of the SPF and Ray Jaz & Nunzio of the FBI.
These two teams are no strangers to one another. Back at New Dawn 2024 on April 14, 2024, the FBI won a three-way-dance against SPF and Playboy Paulie & Brother Falco. Ever since that day, South Philly’s Finest has wanted to get their receipt at any cost.
Meanwhile, Nunzio and Ray Jaz have had an undefeated record within MPW as a team. With that solid statistic, it was a no-brainer to put the extreme duo in the tournament.
One note to mention: as I’ve stated in previous articles, Nunzio has had experience as a Tag Team Champion before. He teamed alongside “the Main Man” Tracy Smothers in 1997 and Tony Mamaluke in 2000 to become ECW World Tag Team Champions. Also, with MPW having a deep tag team division in its first year, Nunzio knows what it takes to get it done, guiding an immensely talented Ray Jaz to bigger and better things.
Will South Philly’s Finest live in their own personal Groundhog Day loop and lose to the FBI at Groundhog Day Gold Rush? Or will “the Gent” and “the Line” dig down deep and survive to the next round of the MPW Tag Team Title Tournament?
