BANKIE'S HOT TAKE #106 - MATHERS VS ZAYDA: #WWEID Talents Fight for the IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship

The Intergender Bonanza has had some classic matches over its near six-and-a-half year existence. However, there has never been a major match as important as what is coming up on March 14, 2025 at the H2O Wrestling Center in Williamstown, NJ.

MARCUS MATHERS DEFENDS HIS IWTV INDEPENDENT WRESTLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST ZAYDA STEEL AT CREAMED OUT.

Why is this match important for the IGB? There are several reasons.

For starters, it’s the first time in IGB history that the IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship will be defended in their promotion.

As a part of the revolutionary streaming network IWTV, Stan Stylez, the corrupt Boss of the Bonanza, has successfully negotiated with IWTV brass to have this championship match sanctioned. This title has been primarily defended over the years for companies like Beyond Wrestling, Black Label Pro, and H2O Wrestling, and has been held by such wrestling luminaries as Jonathan Gresham, Orange Cassidy, Kris Statlander, Alex Shelley, Erick Stevens, and Matt Tremont.

“Philly’s Finest” Mathers won the title on New Year’s Eve 2024 at Beyond’s Heavy Lies The Crown against two-time champion, and absolute monster, Krule in a Fans Bring the Weapons Match. As of this writing, he has had one successful defense against Gabriel Skye on January 30, 2025 during the Wrestling Open event in Worcester, MA.

Secondly, this is the first time in singles competition that two #WWEID signed performers will be facing off in the IGB. Zayda Steel was the first one officially announced to be signed to this unique initiative started by WWE late last year, while Mathers was officially signed to the program by legendary performer, and WWE executive, William Regal.

However, as of this writing, this will NOT be an official #WWEID match.

Now, there could be negotiations, unbeknownst to this writer, that could be going on between WWE ID representatives and the IGB management. Needless to say, if anything does come about that makes it official, I will provide an update here on HardwayHQ.com.

Finally, this could be the ultimate feather in the cap of Marcus’ father Marc Angel and the rest of the Creamy World Order.

On SuperCream back on November 21, 2024, Zayda and Stylez defeated IGB Super Champion Airica Demia and Mathers in an excellent tag team match. Although Steel and Mathers were not involved in the fall, “the Real Deal” has a bit of one upmanship against “the Young Prodigy” due to the records of being a part of the winning team.

If Mathers loses his IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship in the IGB and in front of the CWO, Marc Angel will absolutely rub this indignity in his son’s face until the end of time.

No matter the reason, you cannot miss this very important match on March 14, 2025. Tickets are on sale now and will be able to be viewed on IWTV.

Marcus Mathers and Zayda Steel: a match of the ages in an Intergender Bonanza ring.

Don’t miss it. You will regret it.
