4 of ACE's All-Time Best Vie For Vacant Heavyweight Championship

American Championship Entertainment’s Hero’s Celebration this coming Saturday is shaping up to be a monumental night in company history.
Originally set as the annual tribute show to the late, great Mike Morgan, Jr, this event has taken on another level with the sudden and devastating passing of “the Jurassic Juggernaut” Vince Steele. The night will be heavy and full of emotion.
The main event has been set at the Teaneck Knights of Columbus in Teaneck, NJ, and it might be the most historic main event in recent memory.
With the ACE Heavyweight Title being vacated by ACE management, four of ACE’s greatest performers will do battle for the right to become the face of ACE in 2025, as KAIDE LOTHBROK, “DR. SLEEP” ANTHONY GANGONE, DARIUS CARTER, AND TJ MARCONI prepare for history.
Lothbrok is a three-time former ACE Heavyweight Champion, as well as two-time Diamond Division Champion and former multiple time Tag Team Champion. He truly has worn the ACE flag strongly and proudly, whether you loved him or hated him. He has rededicated his body, his mind, and his spirit, and his sole goal is to be the first man to hold the Heavyweight Title FOUR TIMES. Also, to play on the history of the night, he founded and worked together with both Mikey and Vince as a part of the New Age Wrecking Crew, one of ACE’s most dominating factions.
Anthony Gangone is a two-time former Diamond Division Champion. Truly one of the best pound-for-pound wrestlers in the game today, he has transformed himself into being “Dr. Sleep”, a demented and twisted individual who has mastered the Mandible Claw as his go-to hold. This night holds a special meaning to Gangone as well, as it was Vince Steele that took away his Diamond Division Title back in 2016 at ACE Anarchy 2017. He learned a lot from “the Jurassic Juggernaut” on that night and has used that loss to fuel the fire in his career.
“Wrestling’s Richest Prize” Darius Carter is a former Diamond Division Champion; however, the two-time Super 8 Tournament Champion and the true King of the Tri-State Area has been destined towards the gold since the beginning of his career. It was after being in attendance at Mercury Rising on July 10, 2010 for the Mo Sexton/Bryan Danielson/Christopher Daniels/Dan Maff ACE Title match that his path was set towards that one championship. To add into the spirit of the night, Mr. Carter and Vince Steele were actually a unit in Brii Combination Wrestling and were extremely close.
TJ Marconi is one of the most controversial figures in ACE history. A two-time former ACE Heavyweight Champion, “Public Enemy #1” has not been seen in ACE in close to a decade. There have been ups-and-downs with him and the promotion throughout the years; yet, with the passing of Vince Steele, the man he defeated back at Heatwave on July 11, 2015 to win his first ACE Heavyweight Title, the big man has made his way back to reclaim the gold for a third time. Also, Marconi is linked with all three of his opponents. He and Stockade had a VERY BRIEF union at the inaugural Hero’s Celebration on February 7, 2015, and Carter, Marconi, and Gangone were a part of the revolutionary Crusade For Change in the mid-2010s.
These four men are on a path to greatness. Who will be the new ACE Heavyweight Champion on March 29, 2025? This is a night you cannot miss nor will ever forget.
