3 Kings of "Fight For Flight" Do Battle at ACE's Hero Celebration
On March 29, 2025 at the Teaneck Knights of Columbus in Teaneck, NJ, American Championship Entertainment will bring its first event of 2025, Hero’s Celebration.
In the past, this event, dedicated to the memory of the inspirational Mike Morgan, Jr, always brings out a who’s who of past and current ACE performers. The 2025 edition of Hero’s Celebration will be no different.
The first match made official by ACE management will be for the Fight For Flight Championship. Champion “Bad” Brad Benson will be defending the gold in a triple threat match against ACE Grand Slam Champion Mike Donovan and former Diamond Division and Fight For Flight titleholder “the Good Guy” Azrieal.
To understand the magnitude of this contest, you really have to look back to the past.

Back on May 9, 2015 at Success Is Your Victory, Azrieal, then managed by the legendary and resident “Rodent Scumbag” Mike Lewis, returned to ACE after a long hiatus and won the ACE Fight For Flight Champion in a triple threat match, defeating incumbent Josh Glide and up-and-comer Joey Adams. Ironically, it was the first event held in the rechristened Morgan Jr Arena, the old Wallington Knights of Columbus named after Mikey.
Then, at Destined For Greatness on March 5, 2016, “the Brooklyn Outlaw” Donovan, who was really coming into his own as a singles competitor after a lengthy run in a tag team with Ricky Richards, entered an Aerial Assault against five other men, including Richards, and came out victorious, winning the title. Many people speculate that this win helped motivate Donovan and really cement him as a pillar in the tri-state area independent scene.
Ironically, it was thirteen months ago at Hero’s Celebration on February 3, 2024 in Teaneck where the former “Rad”, now “Bad”, Brad Benson won his Fight For Flight Title. Benson has sworn that he will never lose the championship, no matter what the cost.

The reason why the Fight For Flight Championship is so special is because it was an idea generated from the brain of Mikey Viruet. He always thought outside the box, and this championship is truly a one-of-a-kind idea. To my knowledge, there is no other championship dedicated to multi-man matches out there today..
Both Donovan and Azrieal watched Mikey grow up until his untimely passing in 2014. To this day, both men have stated that Mikey’s memory flows through them each and every time they compete inside of an American Championship Entertainment. And although “Bad” Brad and Mikey never met, many have said that Benson’s unique demeanor would have been right up Mikey’s alley.
Needless to say, this battle will be emotionally charged. It will be intense. It will be magical. And it will be for ACE’s most unique title. It will be 3 KINGS of Fight For Flight doing battle at Hero’s Celebration. And it will be awesome.
